Business & Entrepreneurship

Creating new value propositions for the benefit of people and the economy is an important part of design. Through B&E focused courses and projects I have learned to select and apply various tools and frameworks such as stakeholder mapping, the sustainable business model canvas, competitor analyses, and more.

Working in projects involving multiple stakeholders is something I have been able to practice through my experiences while in student teams and working at companies. Having experience in organisations on both a global corporate and startup scale has shown me the reality of both these vastly different worlds.

I have practiced designing pitch decks meant for various audiences, worked in multidisciplinary teams in design contexts and participated in startup competitions such as the TU/e contest. These activities have strongly contributed to my development within the expertise area of B&E. I have learned that professional business communication is key to the success of an idea both within large companies and as a startup idea in the world. Effectively communicating concepts and knowledge from other expertise areas is the key link between B&E and its counterparts.
